This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected.
If you are a psychotherapy client, this Privacy Policy should be read alongside your Therapy Contract, which explains our therapeutic agreement, and my Terms of Service, which set out the general terms governing the services I provide.
What Data I Collect
1. Communication Data
Messages sent via email, the contact form, or social media.
Used for correspondence, record-keeping, and—where necessary—legal purposes.
2. Client Data
If you receive therapy services, I may collect:
Full name
Contact details (email, phone, address)
Payment information (if relevant)
Therapy session notes and clinical records (including assessment information, appointment history, completed forms, and consent records) are securely maintained using WriteUpp, a GDPR-compliant practice management system, to support the safe and effective delivery of therapy in line with professional standards.
3. Website User Data
When you use this site, technical information may be collected automatically, such as:
IP address
Browser type and version
Pages visited and time spent on the site
4. Technical & Marketing Data
If you consent to cookies, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) may collect aggregated data to help improve site performance and content.

To operate my practice safely and efficiently, I use carefully selected third-party service providers who process personal data on my behalf where necessary. These providers may include:
WriteUpp – secure practice management, client records, appointment scheduling, clinical documentation, and electronic consent forms.
Stripe (where applicable) – secure online payment processing.
FreeAgent – accounting, invoicing, and financial record keeping.
Google Workspace – email communications, calendar, and secure document storage.
Squarespace – website hosting, contact forms, and website analytics.
Zoom (where applicable) – secure online therapy sessions.
bOnline – business telephone and voicemail services for client communications.
These providers process personal data only where necessary to support the delivery of my services and are expected to comply with applicable UK data protection legislation and maintain appropriate security measures.
Data Security & Retention
I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. Electronic client records are stored securely using WriteUpp, a GDPR-compliant practice management system. Financial information may also be processed through secure accounting and payment providers where applicable. Access to your information is restricted to those who need it, and appropriate safeguards are in place to protect its confidentiality and security.
Therapy records: kept for 7 years after therapy ends (in line with professional guidelines).
Financial records: retained for 6 years (for tax purposes).
General enquiries: deleted after 12 months if no further contact occurs.
After the retention period, data is securely deleted or destroyed.
Your Rights Under GDPR
You have the right to:
